What Is Plastic Injection Molding?

Plastic injection molding forms thermoplastic parts by heating pellets and injecting the melt into a closed steel mold under pressure.
Once cooled, the part solidifies with the same precision and surface texture defined by the cavity.
The process is suitable for producing a wide range of components—from thin-wall housings to structural parts—with repeatable tolerances down to ±0.05 mm.
ABS, PC, PA, and POM are commonly used for parts requiring mechanical strength, heat resistance, or dimensional stability.
JeekMould keeps batch records and checks molded part dimensions through in-process and final inspection.

Injection Molding Process Overview

Melt Preparation

Plastic pellets are heated and melted in the barrel, forming a uniform molten mixture before injection.

Injection Molding

The molten plastic is injected into the closed mold cavity under high pressure to fill all features of the part.

Pressure Holding and Cooling

Holding pressure prevents shrinkage as the plastic cools and solidifies, forming its final dimensions.

Demolding and Part Removal

After cooling, the mold opens and ejects the finished part for inspection or downstream assembly.

Why Choose JeekMould for Plastic Injection Molding

JeekMould supports plastic injection molding projects from DFM review and mold making to mold trial, production molding, and final inspection. Our team reviews part structure, material selection, wall thickness, gate position, tolerance requirements, and surface finish before production starts.

Each project is managed with controlled molding parameters, stable tooling, material checks, and dimensional inspection to help reduce molding defects and keep production quality consistent.
